Admission requirements

To be accepted into Life Sciences at HAN, you need to meet 2 main admission requirements: your prior education and English fluency. It’s also important that Life Sciences is the right choice for you. That’s why we ask you to take part in a Matching activity.

Apply in 7 steps

Are you ready to enroll in Life Sciences? Here we guide you through the 7 steps of the application process.

Tuition Fees

Your tuition fee depends on your nationality. And whether you’ve studied in the Netherlands before. Nationalities within the European Union (EU) and European Economic Area (EEA) generally pay a lower tuition fee. The table below shows this as EU/EEA. This includes all EU countries plus Norway, Lichtenstein, Iceland and Switzerland. Students from Suriname also pay this lower fee.

Not sure what your tuition fees apply to your situation? Check out our tuition fees calculator. Within a few clicks, you'll know the exact amount.

This amount covers your tuition fee and your cost of living. Paying this ensures you have sufficient funds to live and study in the Netherlands. The financial guarantee is a requirement of the visa process.
